Job Description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an experienced Director of Facilities Operations to oversee all facility, grounds, and infrastructure functions across its statewide portfolio. The role requires executive-level leadership, compliance with fire safety and healthcare codes, and management of a diverse workforce.
Requirements
Eight (8) years of professional experience in the repair and maintenance of large buildings, leasing, acquisition or management of property or building contract administration.
Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity, interpreted at the level of a Maintenance Supervisor 2.
A Bachelor's degree with college training substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years.
A Master's degree in architecture, business or construction management, engineering or public administration may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
