Role OverviewThe Director of Fiscal Capacity is a key leadership position within LCCL's Fiscal Team. This role is responsible for overseeing the financial capacity-building, fiscal monitoring, and compliance support provided to Community Partner organizations receiving subgrants or participating in fiscal sponsorship arrangements. The Director of Fiscal Capacity will provide leadership to fiscal review staff, oversee subgrantee fiscal processes, contribute to internal accounting operations, and partner closely with senior leadership to strengthen fiscal management systems across the organization.
What You Will Do
The Director of Fiscal Capacity will conduct fiscal assessments of Community Partner organizations, provide technical assistance related to budget development and management, internal controls, cost allocation methodologies, and financial systems and processes. The Director will also ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, and contractual regulations and requirements, monitor Community Partner use of grant and contract funds, and provide guidance regarding allowable costs and expenditures.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in public or private accounting
- Demonstrated experience with nonprofit accounting strongly preferred
- Proven knowledge of day-to-day financial and accounting management within nonprofit organizations
- CPA preferred
- Experience with Federal grants and Federal Uniform Guidance preferred
- Experience managing State, County, and City contracts preferred
