Role Overview

The Director of Food & Beverage oversees all aspects of Food and Beverage operations, ensuring member, resident, and guest satisfaction through creative programming and offerings. This role involves balancing revenue production and bottom-line financial performance of the Food and Beverage Departments. The Director is responsible for hiring and training staff, managing department members, and collaborating with the Executive Chef on menus and catering deals.

What You Will Do

The Director of Food & Beverage will assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. They will also assist in managing department members, reviewing current business levels, and relaying pertinent information to key staff. The Director will assist the General Manager in monitoring the success of Food and Beverage related departments and associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university
  • Four to six years related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of hospitality POS system application, hardware, software, and menu programming
  • Experience in Multi-faceted Food and Beverage operations
  • WSET Level 1 or higher (preferred)
  • Level 1 Sommelier or higher (preferred)
  • Cicerone
  • SERV Safe Certified
  • Adult First Aid, CPR/AED
