Role Overview

The Director of Homeless Placement Services will oversee a team of Homeless Rental Coordinators, Data Analysts, and Team Leaders to ensure homeless clients access affordable housing opportunities through an equitable, centralized, efficient process. The Director will monitor staff productivity and ensure program referral and placement goals are met, linking homeless households to permanent housing as quickly as possible.

What You Will Do

Establish effective coordination with government partners, manage the development of a new technology system, lead coordination with various divisions and external partners, establish performance metrics, and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of placement strategies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in urban policy, public administration, sociology, or a closely related field
  • Two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research
  • 18 months of experience in an executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory capacity
  • Supervision of staff performing professional work in areas such as personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management
