Job Description
The Director of Human Resources is a highly visible leadership role at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel, responsible for aligning people strategies with operational and service initiatives to support the hotel’s overall business objectives.
Requirements
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with Hyatt standards and business needs
Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and staffing strategies to support hotel operations
Oversee wage and salary administration, benefits programs, and compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations
Support operational leaders through effective staffing, onboarding, and training initiatives
Conduct needs assessments and design, implement, and evaluate training and development programs
Advise and coach leaders on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent application of policies and regulatory requirements
Manage unemployment and workers’ compensation claims in coordination with internal partners and third‐party administrators
Conduct and analyze wage and salary surveys to support competitive compensation practices
Provide employee counseling and guidance when appropriate
Plan and coordinate associate engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications
Actively participate in professional HR organizations and maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices
Partner closely with Hyatt Corporate Human Resources to ensure alignment and consistency
Coach and counsel associates and leaders to uphold Hyatt service standards and values
