Role OverviewThe Director of Med/Surg - Telemetry is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions within medical/surgical/telemetry unit(s).
What You Will Do
Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care. Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Assumes 24-hour accountability for the departments. Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time responsibilities for the unit and is directly accountable to the CNO or Administrator.
Requirements
- Current and valid state registered nurse license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current Critical Care RN (CCRN) or Medical Surgical Certified (ANA) certificate(s) upon hire, preferred.
- A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
- Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for all new hires after 1/11/2021.
