Job Description
The New York City Department of Housing Preservation (HPD) seeks a Director of Moves & Portability for the Division of Tenant and Owner Resources. The selected candidate will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations related to requests to move, port or transfer from participants in HPD's Section 8 program, as well as other rental subsidy programs.

Requirements

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Moves & Ports Unit
  • Oversee daily unit operations, including facilitating tenant moves, reviewing and processing emergency move requests, and managing face-to-face customer service interactions
  • Direct staff in assessing customer needs, resolving complex or long-standing issues, and coordinating service delivery across DTOR units and HPD divisions
