Role OverviewThe Director of Music will coordinate the music and worship life of the Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in collaboration with the Pastor.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include rehearsing and directing the church choir, recruiting soloists and ensembles, working with the Pastor and Organist/Accompanist to incorporate a variety of music, and ensuring musical support for worship services.

Requirements
- A vibrant and growing relationship with God and a commitment to the way of Jesus Christ
- Ability to accompany the congregation on piano (or organ) when the accompanist is off
- An interest in a variety of musical styles
- Effective interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and creativity
- Formal instrumental and/or choral training required
- Bachelor of Music desired
