Director of Operations, Fiber Construction

The Director of Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight of fiber construction operations in the Tacoma, WA area, ensuring alignment with company goals, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The Director will drive cross-functional collaboration, optimize processes for scalability, and lead teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective results while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

Provide overall operational leadership and oversight across all active markets, lead daily program operations, drive accountability across internal teams and subcontractors, and oversee scheduling and resource planning to maximize operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, telecommunications, utilities, construction, or a related industry
• Proven ability to lead distributed teams and manage the performance of employees, subcontractors, and business partners
• Strong knowledge of operational management, financial performance, budgeting, billing, and profit margins
• Demonstrated success in process improvement, workflow optimization, and performance management
• Strong understanding of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer relationship skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, operations management systems, and other business software
• Relevant education or training in operations management, business, construction management, telecommunications, or a related field
