Job Description
Required Experience and Competencies. Physician Partnership status required. At the direction of the CMO, the Director will provide senior leadership and management to programs and initiatives that support the operations of Vituity. The Director is appointed annually and reports to the CMO. You are backed by a best-in-class corporate healthcare team and supported by the broad peer-level expertise of 6,000 Vituity clinicians. Provide management oversight to clinical operations programs relating to education, risk, quality, patient flow, IT, data management, CMS, patient satisfaction and other programs as designated by the CMO. Provide creative and innovative thought necessary for the development of novel programs that address clinical operational, quality, and/or service excellence performance. Work collaboratively with medical directors, regional directors, vice-presidents, operations consultants, and other Vituity Practice Management staff to ensure organization-wide adoption of CMS, service excellence, quality and/or operational initiatives. Responsible for defining, implementing, measuring, and promoting Vituity best practices for every Vituity provider to achieve optimal performance and to ensure contract stability. Provide site consultation and co-management on issues relating to patient care and/or service and operational excellence. Provide leadership to organization strategy. Provide support to business development with respect to performance data and presentations. Assist in the analysis and integration of Partnership needs and opportunities and provide design input on the integration strategies needed to optimize clinical practice. Assist in developing Vituity Partners to be national faculty and recognized presenters at health care and related conferences. Participate in marketing Vituity. Participation at Vituity Regional Director and Medical Director meetings and selected regional and local Vituity meetings. Provide regular updates to the Board and Vituity management regarding Vituity clinical operational programs, performance, and initiatives. Recognized as an exceptional clinician. Licensed physician as a Medical Doctor (M.D. ) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required. Board Certification from an accredited institution required. Maintain membership and privileges on Hospital’s medical staff and comply with and abide by the bylaws, rules and regulations, and the policies and procedures of Hospital’s medical staff where services are being provided is required. Five (5) years of exemplary clinical practice required. Experience as an administrative partner or equivalent in a large medical group practice (medical directorship, committee chair, or regional directorship) required. Management experience preferably at the medical director and organizational program management level required. Attendance at conferences relevant to the healthcare industry and job requirements is required. Regular Emeryville-based office presence required. Willingness to travel within the United States required. Time schedule that allows for successful execution of job responsibilities is required. Excellent communications, teaching, and presentation skills and experience. Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations effecting hospitals and medical group practice. Exceptional clinical skills and reputation. Thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement, operational, service, risk and regulatory issues relating to clinical performance. Exceptional leadership skills capable of moving the organization to adopt novel programs. Strong understanding of healthcare industry and trends impacting Vituity business.
