Director of Racquet Sports

The Director of Racquet Sports will be responsible for directing all aspects of the Racquet Club, including facility maintenance, programming quality, event execution, staff development, customer satisfaction, membership retention and growth, and fiscal management.

What You Will Do

The Director of Racquet Sports will create and execute racquet sports programming for members, resort guests, and local/national tournaments, and will work a flexible schedule to include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Three years’ experience as Racquet Sports Director or Head Professional
• USPTA or USPTR certified
• High level of program development & execution expected
• Working knowledge of all types of racquet sports programming
• Ability to personally direct (or collaborate with accredited Directors of) sanctioned and unsanctioned tennis and pickleball tournaments
• Working knowledge of outdoor clay court maintenance, irrigation, and preservation techniques
• Understanding of retail operations and Point of Sale procedures
• Ability to string tennis racquets and administer basic racquet tech & accessories
• Good interpersonal skills in dealing with members
