Role OverviewThe Director of Reinsurance and Capacity will be responsible for laying the runway for the company to continue to scale while also managing existing capacity relationships. This is an opportunity to bend the growth curve of your career and get exposure that could take decades at more established companies.
What You Will Do
Secure new capacity at favorable terms, lead the renewal of numerous reinsurance programs and capacity contracts, manage day-to-day interactions with capacity partners, and lead the development of a partner portal.

Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in reinsurance
- Reinsurance underwriter, reinsurance broker, or managing reinsurance for a carrier/MGA experience
- Lengthy rolodex of industry contacts
- Knowledgeable about property insurance, forecasting, catastrophe modeling, reinsurance terms, and structures
- ARe and/or CFA
- Above average project management skills
- Extensive knowledge of the reinsurance and capacity ecosystem
- Familiarity with catastrophe models for peak perils
