Role OverviewThe Director of Safety & Security collaborates with department heads to develop and execute the day-to-day management and administration of company safety programs. This position is responsible for developing the company’s Safety Management System, promoting safe actions, being the company contact for safety related issues and serving as a company liaison with members of the FAA, NTSB, and other government regulatory agencies, as necessary.

Responsibilities include collaborating with department heads, developing the company’s Safety Management System, managing safety risks and security threats, conducting investigations, and making timely safety recommendations to company executives and the Safety Committee.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 5 years’ experience with Part 121 or 135 air carrier, 3 years’ relevant work experience with air carrier safety, and 2 years of prior leadership experience. The candidate should have knowledge and operational experience of 14 CFR Part 91 and Part 135 operations, and a Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field of study is preferred.
