Director of Security

The Director of Security is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of all safety, security, and risk management programs supporting the mixed-use property, including Thompson Dallas. This position provides both strategic direction and hands-on leadership, ensuring the safety and security of guests, residents, tenants, visitors, colleagues, contractors, and physical assets.

Responsibilities include leadership & operational oversight, security & risk management, compliance, training & security programs, vendor & stakeholder management, people leadership & administration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, residential, or comparable security operations
• Demonstrated experience leading investigations, emergency management, compliance programs, vendor management, and multi-stakeholder operations
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, fire and life safety standards, access control, key control, physical security systems, investigations, and regulatory compliance
• Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, organizational, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to effectively lead during emergencies and high-pressure situations
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and professional security certifications (CPP, PSP, CHPA, or equivalent) preferred
