Role OverviewThe Director of the Bureau of Investigations and Trials will oversee the resolution of disciplinary cases, manage staff attorneys, and lead investigations, hearings, and trials. The role requires professional judgment, effective advocacy, and adherence to legal and contractual standards. The Director will serve as a liaison and advisor to managers and supervisors on disciplinary matters, aligning BIT actions with operational objectives and departmental values.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the resolution of disciplinary cases, managing and directing staff attorneys, personally handling investigations, hearings, and trials, and ensuring appropriate case management systems, data analysis, and tracking tools.

The ideal candidate will have four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience, with 18 months of experience in supervising other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work.
