Role Overview

The Director of Procurement for the South Central Division serves as a strategic business partner to leadership across the Division's operating companies. This role leads the end-to-end Division procurement organization — strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, and procurement analytics — overseeing more than $1 billion in annual addressable spend across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and West Tennessee, in close alignment with Division leadership, Americas Materials Procurement, Procurement Centers of Excellence, and Shared Services.

The successful candidate is an operationally minded procurement leader who converts market, supplier, and spend insight into business action: influencing cost, margin, capital, and supply-continuity decisions; driving disciplined, consistent procurement process execution; and building a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or Finance concentration preferred.
  • Master's/graduate degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM, CSCP) a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management experience, including 5+ years leading procurement teams across multiple locations or business units.
  • Experience in a public company and/or large, matrixed multinational organization strongly preferred.
  • Experience in building materials, aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete, construction, mining, or similar asset-intensive operational environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience with procurement shared services or center-of-excellence environments preferred.
