Role OverviewWe are seeking a Director, FP&A to serve as a strategic finance partner to our R&D organization. In this highly visible role, you will support critical investment decisions across our development portfolio by delivering financial insights, forecasting, and decision support.
What You Will Do
Deliver accurate and timely forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans for R&D functions. Prepare and present financial analyses to senior leadership, including materials for Board meetings. Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to inform decision-making.

Partner with R&D leadership and project teams to develop portfolio and program-level financial plans. Lead scenario modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and vendor investment decisions. Support clinical program investment decisions and other high-priority strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including significant FP&A experience
- Experience supporting R&D or development organizations strongly preferred
- Clinical trial forecasting and accruals experience preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, Coupa, and Anaplan, or similar tools
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting capabilities, including ad hoc analysis
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex scientific and strategic concepts into clear financial insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented and solution-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement
