Job Description
Role Overview

The Safety Director is responsible for oversight of Corporate Safety and Health (S&H) Programs, effectively managing multiple Safety programs, developing and implementing CEC site-specific project safety plans, and collaborating with Project Management in the implementation and leadership of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) process.

Leads development of and clearly articulates Company’s safety vision, objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures in order to build a safety culture dedicated to behaviors which lead to best-in-class results. Provides proactive leadership and assumes ownership of building a best-in-class safety culture by anticipating problems and providing solutions.

Must be able to work in the presence of customers and their representatives with little or no interference or disruption to the customer while maintaining a professional and courteous image.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree
  • Previous MEP/construction/industrial and commercial S&H experience
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 500 or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Safety Trained Supervisor
  • Degree in environmental health and safety, safety management, construction, or related field
  • Safety Management Systems knowledge, skill and experience - ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP)
  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
  • Bilingual (Spanish-Speaking) preferred
