Role OverviewThe Director will supervise, manage, and review the work of a Deputy Director and 2 - 3 teams of approximately 12 - 20 Engineers and Technicians responsible for ensuring timely design completions of numerous DOT and DEP projects. The Director will be responsible for developing standard construction language, maintaining and updating standard specifications for roadways, sewer, and water mains, and standard drawings.
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will assist in the resolution of construction issues requiring design changes with least amount of cost increase and delay to the project, provide technical support to the staff in the preparation of design drawings, specifications and estimates, and ensure that every project is designed as per current City standards and specifications.

Requirements
- A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer
- six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work
- at least two (2) years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity
