Role Overview

The Disaster Recovery Grant Manager will be a key member of the Compliance & Strategy Team within the agency's Office of Compliance & Risk Management (CRM). The role will oversee the agency's compliance and risk management functions, liaising with units and staff responsible for relevant compliance responsibilities. The Disaster Recovery Grant Manager will support teams across the agency in managing programs funded by grants received by HPD, with a specific focus on Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) grants.

What You Will Do

The Disaster Recovery Grant Manager will manage cross-agency programmatic and reporting obligations, assist with policies and procedures, and provide technical assistance for CDBG-DR grant funded programs within HPD. The person in this role will work closely and liaise with Offices and Divisions throughout HPD, as well as external partners.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, public health, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; or in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; or in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management
