Job Description
H2M architects + engineers is seeking a Discipline Engineer in our Water/Wastewater Discipline to join our team in our NYC office. As a Discipline Engineer, you will independently complete complex development of engineering design, preparation of specifications, and other activities requiring standard engineering principles and techniques.
Requirements
Lead projects utilizing technical knowledge and experience to develop the project team's overall capabilities.
Manages projects from planning to design and construction of water/wastewater distribution and conveyance systems including pipelines, pump stations, storage, and end-of-pipe treatment facilities.
Leads development of construction documents/specifications and handling engineering services during construction.
Meets established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project/task scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinates execution of projects with other disciplines.
Develops medium to large planning and design projects from inception to completion.
Prepares complete construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of Water/Wastewater projects.
Creates and manages cost estimates and project schedules and will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
Performs detailed engineering calculations & analysis and utilizes design software to solve complex issues.
Supervises and supports the work of others and mentors junior level engineer & design/drafting technical staff.
