Dispatcher

The Dispatcher will work with supervisors to ensure on-time departure of all vehicles, check-in drivers, and provide information regarding Coach & Tour Division operations to customers and other staff. The role requires utilizing GPS and dispatching software to monitor operations of routes for accuracy and working with drivers and other staff to address service issues/failures in a timely manner.

Primary responsibilities include working with supervisors to ensure on-time departure of all vehicles, checking-in drivers, providing information regarding Coach & Tour Division operations to customers and other staff, utilizing GPS and dispatching software, and addressing service issues/failures in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Open availability to work mornings, nights, weekends and holidays, as required.
• 2+ years dispatching experience
• High school degree or equivalent
• Bus operations experience preferred
• Well-developed planning and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented and customer focused
• Proactive mentality towards problem solving
• Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
• Adaptability to different personality types
• Ability to work with computer systems and follow specific business rules for data entry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (primarily Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to use internet or other tools to research trip and destination information
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements at a moment’s notice
• Must be able to work in a team environment
