Job Description
Apple is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to contribute to the design and development of consumer electronics and mechanical designs. This role involves investigating state-of-the-art designs, leading the module mechanical architecture, and ensuring system goals are met through optimization, prototyping, and quality control. The position includes international travel to Asia.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience
  • 3D modeling experience (Pro/E, NX, CATIA, SolidWorks)
  • Failure analysis experience
  • Experience leading mechanical design and validation
  • Experience with diversity of manufacturing techniques
  • Experience with simulation (FEA, CFD, JMP, MATLAB, Minitab)
  • Expertise in mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Prior experience with manufacturing and high-volume products
