Job Description
The Distributed Computer System Specialist will assist the computer operation manager in providing distributed systems support to the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute. This includes configuration, management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux servers in a hybrid on-premises/ cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have six years of experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming, or in planning or designing distributed computer systems. A bachelor's degree in a computer science field and two years of experience can also be considered as a substitute for the required experience. The position is based at the FWRI headquarters in St. Pete and requires a Level 1 and Level 2 background check. Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
Six years of experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming or in planning or designing distributed computer systems
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or better
Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
VMware Certified Technical Associate – Data Center Virtualization (VCTA-DCA) or better
