Role Overview

This position will be responsible for providing support for computer systems at multiple sites as part of the Department’s Central Office. The mission of the Office of Technology in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to provide innovative, reliable, and secure technology solutions that support the Department's operations and enhance its efficiency. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

What You Will Do

The position will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and troubleshooting the local client architecture, installing and supporting network computers, and providing support for software packages. The position will also assist with the maintenance of inventory user issued IT equipment and provide after hours ‘on-call’ support on an as-needed basis.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting desktop computer equipment in a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) environment, a valid Driver’s License, and the ability to work on-call, if needed, including during times of Emergencies or Disasters.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Experience supporting desktop computer equipment in a CJIS environment
