Role Overview

The Division Director and State Forester oversees statewide fire suppression, forestry preservation, and wildland fire prevention across state and private cooperative lands. They serve as a representative for the division on state, national, and local committees, advisory boards, and councils. The Director provides technical and policy guidance to staff members and oversees subordinate field personnel and fire crews.
