Role OverviewThe HR Technician II is a non-supervisory position assigned to the Division 10 Office, serving as a Human Resources professional in qualification and salary administration. The position reviews applications, hiring packages, and salary recommendations to ensure compliance with merit-based hiring practices and personnel policies.
What You Will Do
Review applications to determine qualification status, review hiring packages for compliance, and serve as a backup to the division approver for PA/OM actions using the state's Human Resources Information System Fiori.

Requirements
- Associate's degree in Human Resources or relevant field
- 1 year of experience in Human Resources
- Experience using the state Human Resources System Fiori (Formerly known as BEACON) or other HRIS systems
- Experience exercising judgment and discretion in the application and interpretation of personnel policies and procedures
- Experience providing customer service through email and telephone
- Experience completing hiring packages using salary administration rules
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems such as NeoGov or Workday
