Job Description
The Divisional Finance Director oversees the financial affairs and accounting of The Salvation Army, Alaska Division, and reports to the Divisional Commander. The DFD gives leadership and supervision to the Finance Department and is responsible for accounting, planning and reporting for the approximately 27 units within the Alaska Division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
  • Completion of either the CPA or CMA certificate
  • Five years of experience in a substantially similar position
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidelines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to perform general and complex mathematical computations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work professionally and effectively in a team environment
  • Current Alaska driver’s license with acceptable driving and criminal history
