Role OverviewThis position coordinates the implementation of the Division's Fishery Management Plan (FMP) development process, including coordination and tracking of implementation. The position is responsible for reviewing/developing state level fisheries management policy. In addition, this position is responsible for review/development of potential legislation as it relates to state fisheries management or associated DMF/Marine Fisheries Commission (MFC) responsibilities.
What You Will Do
FMP development and implementation, fisheries policy development and implementation, DMF/MFC related legislation review and development, supervision of FMP coordinators, stock assessment staff, and MFC support staff.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in one of the agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in environmental work.
