Job Description
The Dock Supervisor will lead and direct dock employees, manage an efficient and safe LTL operation, and enforce company policies and procedures. The candidate must have prior management, dispatch, and dock experience, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Prior management, dispatch, and dock experience
  • Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry
  • Strong leadership skills, including hiring, coaching, counseling, training, mentoring, and terminating employees
  • Team building and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organization skills
  • Good computer skills (AS/400 & MS Office a plus)
  • Ability to work 50 hours/week average
  • Ability to work any shift, including nights and/or weekends, and in any weather condition
  • Ability to lift approximately 20 lbs.
  • Ability to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures, and Code of Conduct
  • Ability to interact well with others
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
