Role OverviewA Dock Tech works under the direction of the Shipping Coordinator, facilitating the loading of outbound shipments and final processing of eComm orders. The role involves accurate and efficient labeling and loading practices, monitoring multiple loads/trailers, and cross-training in shipping tasks.
What You Will Do
The Dock Tech will be responsible for loading trailers, communicating with carriers, and maintaining housekeeping in assigned areas. They will also operate the Multi Machine and perform other duties as assigned.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Prior Shipping/Loading Experience
- Knowledge of Shipping
- Truck loading/Dock experience helpful
- Good communications skills/Bilingual a plus
- Leadership experience a plus
