Donation Center Attendant - Halls Center (Knoxville)

The Fixed Donation Center (FDC) Attendant plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s mission by providing exceptional service to donors while ensuring the safe, efficient, and organized operation of the FDC attendant. This position is responsible for receiving, sorting, handling, and preparing donated goods for processing and recycling while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for donors, team members, and community partners.

What You Will Do

Receive and process donated clothing, shoes, household goods, and other items through the drive-thru operation at the Fixed Donation Center (FDC). Provide excellent customer service by professionally greeting and assisting donors while promoting the organization’s mission and community impact.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability
• Ability to understand, follow, and apply company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced work environment
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with donors, team members, and management
• Ability to accurately maintain records and communicate operational updates and concerns to management
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Commitment to supporting the organization’s mission, values, and community impact initiatives
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to perform physical job duties in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions
• Successful completion of a background check
