Role Overview

The Donor Engagement Officer is responsible for raising funds and building and maintaining relationships with ministry partners for the funding priorities of the C&MA. This role builds and maintains relationships with a portfolio of high net worth probable donors, foundations, businesses, and district and church leadership to cultivate a deeper understanding of C&MA ministries worldwide seeking financial engagement.

What You Will Do

The Donor Engagement Officer will serve in a vital role within the Development team, working closely with the Major Gifts Team Lead and the Major Gifts Team to increase donor engagement and secure financial support for the Great Commission Fund (GCF), Project ReImagine, and other projects of the C&MA. This includes managing a portfolio of high-net-worth probable donors, identifying and qualifying prospective major donors, creating annual and long-term strategic plans, and securing major gifts from high-net-worth individuals.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in related field required
  • Experience with culturally and socio-economically diverse communities
  • Experience with major donor prospecting, cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation
  • Work requiring an extensive background to understand trends and to develop broad programs for legal, investment, church, missions or equipment utilization, finance, and/or manpower utilization
  • 5–7 years of experience in a related position required
  • 3–5 years of experience within the C&MA required
