Role OverviewAs a Drafter Designer at Bigham Cable Construction, Inc., you will plot, map, design, and draft in CADD using the requirements for telecommunications networks and permits. You will create accurate network maps, layouts, drawings, and detailed electronic construction prints to meet customer expectations.
What You Will Do
Create new Outside Plant (OSP) network designs in various applications/software, develop and issue work prints for OSP Telecom networks, and work with Engineering and Construction departments to coordinate with permitting agencies.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have knowledge of telecommunications industry standards, regulations for OSP facilities, aerial, buried and underground construction methods and engineering requirements, and government permit requirements.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or at least three years of telecommunications OSP Design/Engineering Experience is required
- Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
