Role OverviewThe Drill & Blast Supervisor is responsible for directing drilling and blasting activities at the Round Mountain mine, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. The incumbent will oversee the design of blast patterns, coordinate with maintenance activities, and optimize production schedules to minimize impact. The role requires strong technical knowledge of drilling and blasting equipment, materials, and procedures, as well as leadership and communication skills.
What You Will Do
The Drill & Blast Supervisor will implement and maintain drill and blast plans, ensure safe evacuation and clearing of blast zones, and coordinate with maintenance activities. The incumbent will also provide training to personnel, assign tasks, and monitor work execution. The role requires significant time in the field, interacting with the workforce, and attending planning meetings to communicate current drill and blast plans and strategies.

Requirements
- Five years of open pit mining experience
- Minimum one year of drill/blast field experience
- Two years' supervisory experience in a mining environment
- Ability to obtain ATF clearance and licensing
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions; extreme heat and cold
- Strong technical knowledge of drilling and blasting equipment, materials, and procedures
- Leadership and communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
