Role Overview

The State of Connecticut Technical High School System (CTECS) is seeking an experienced and qualified individual for the position of Durational School Psychologist (THS Psychologist) for Platt Technical High School in Milford. The successful candidate will work with students, parents, and educators to provide educational, psychological, and behavioral health services.

What You Will Do

The Durational School Psychologist will be responsible for integrating and coordinating educational, psychological, and behavioral health services. This includes setting instructional goals and outcomes, gathering and analyzing data, and developing lesson plans for school-based counseling sessions.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with special education laws, assessments, and ethical standards, as well as experience working at the secondary or high school level. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with school/district administration, school/district counseling personnel, and contracted service providers to assist students with special programming.

Requirements

  • Connecticut Educator Certificate – Endorsement 070, School Psychologist
  • Experience working with special education laws, assessments, and ethical standards
  • Experience working at the secondary or high school level
  • Experience with MTSS, crisis response, and transition related planning
