Role OverviewVTG is looking for an Ohio based K-12 IT Sales Representative who will play a critical role in bridging the digital divide for Ohio’s students, providing school districts and educational institutions critical technology services using the E-Rate funding vehicle.
What You Will Do
Lead generation, prospecting, meeting generation, opportunity creation, sales and business development, monitoring industry trends, and closing deals.

Must have a proven background in the Education (K-12/Higher Ed) vertical, 3+ years of B2B sales experience, and a high-level understanding of networking infrastructure and basic Cybersecurity principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, specifically selling into the SLED (State, Local, and Education) market
- Territory Expertise: Must be based in or have a proven track record of selling within the Ohio K-12 school district ecosystem
- Technical Literacy: A high-level understanding of networking infrastructure (switches, routers, access points) and basic Cybersecurity principles
- High-Activity Comfort: Proven ability to work and thrive in an environment with defined activity expectations (calls, emails, and meetings)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proficient in CRM software for tracking sales activities (e.g., Salesforce)
