Role OverviewThe Global Environment Facility (GEF) Communications & Outreach unit is seeking a Social Media Producer ETC to support the unit’s ambitious Social Media & Marketing program. The incumbent will support GEFCO colleagues in strategic online content development and dissemination using state of the art technology solutions to maximize outreach and impact.
What You Will Do
The Social Media Producer ETC will write and publish social media posts, build the social media ‘library’, maintain the team’s content and special events calendar, research and propose ideas on production of immersive stories, and prepare social media campaign packages for distribution.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Preference will be given to candidates with proven digital data analytics, visualization and reporting skills, and experience with social listening platforms.
Requirements
- solid understanding of current global environmental issues
- practical knowledge of content management systems (Hootsuite, Trello) and visual content creation platforms (Adobe products, Canva)
- ability to work under pressure against competing deadlines
- working knowledge of Spanish and/or French
- digital data analytics, visualization and reporting skills
- experience with social listening platforms
