Role OverviewAssist a teacher in a Head Start classroom, ensuring the classroom meets performance standards and licensing regulations. Assist with planning, implementing educational activities, and interacting with children. Assume teacher responsibilities in their absence.
What You Will Do
Daily responsibilities include assisting with educational activities, observing and documenting children's growth, carrying out administrative duties, and maintaining records. Participate in center staff meetings, attend training, and coordinate parent and volunteer involvement.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) or be enrolled in early childhood coursework. Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a car available daily. Must be able to read and write sufficiently to maintain proper records.
