Job Description
The Bureau of Childcare is seeking an Early Childhood Education Consultant to monitor and make recommendations to childcare programs throughout New York City to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The consultant will evaluate child care programs, provide consultation and guidance, and issue notices of violation as needed.

Requirements

  • Evaluate and assess child care programs to assure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Provide consultation, guidance and technical assistance to child care providers and staff
  • Serve as a resource person for the Bureau and providers on current trends and research in Early Childhood Education
  • Issue notices of violation and make recommendations for issuance or denial of child care permits or licenses
