Role Overview

The Bureau of Child Care seeks an Early Childhood Education Consultant to monitor and make recommendations to childcare programs throughout New York City to ensure compliance with regulations. The consultant will evaluate and assess child care programs, provide consultation and guidance to providers, and serve as a resource person on current trends and research in Early Childhood Education.

What You Will Do

Duties will include evaluating and assessing child care programs, providing consultation and guidance to providers, serving as a resource person on current trends and research in Early Childhood Education, issuing notices of violation, and making recommendations for issuance or denial of child care permits or licenses.
