What You Will Do
Under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent of Recreation, the Assistant Superintendent of Recreation and the Early Childhood & Preschool Supervisor, the Preschool Teacher shall complete their assigned duties to the best of their abilities, offering suggestions of better ways to accomplish jobs and be ever mindful of the best interests of the St. Charles Park District and of fellow employees.

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, Family & Social Services, Recreation, or related field
- A minimum of two years of completed undergraduate studies in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, Recreation, or related field
- A minimum of one year in a teaching role, as either an employee or as a student teacher
- Thorough knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education, classroom management techniques, and appropriate guidance and discipline techniques
- Maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification or obtain certification within 30 days of hire
- Maintain DCFS mandated reporter certificate or obtain certification within 30 days of hire
