Early Childhood Learning Lead Teacher

Join our team as an Early Childhood Learning Lead Teacher in our Early Learning Center in New Windsor, NY. This part-time, non-exempt position offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.00-$18.00. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and leading engaging activities, managing daily operations, and maintaining clear communication with parents and caregivers. You will also have the opportunity to support the growth and development of staff members.

What You Will Do

Your main responsibilities will include ensuring program compliance with state regulations and Healthy Kids policies, planning and leading activities, managing daily operations, and maintaining accurate attendance and registration tracking. You will also be responsible for communicating with parents and caregivers through the Playground App and collaborating with your direct report to ensure a positive team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, plus one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience in an early childhood setting
• Associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience
• New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience
• Child Development Associate (CDA) or other office-recognized credential, with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience
