We are hiring an Early Childhood Learning Lead Teacher for our program at Taconic Hills Elementary School. The successful candidate will facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and support program operations. This position is well-suited for parents, education majors, or retirees who enjoy working with children and being part of a mission-driven team.

What You Will Do

The Lead Teacher will facilitate hands-on activities, provide a safe and healthy environment, and support program operations. They will also observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, plus one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience in an early childhood setting
  • Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field with a plan of study toward a Bachelor's degree or a New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience
  • New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential with one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or other office-recognized credential, with a plan of study toward a Bachelor's degree or a New York State Children's Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience
