Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant

We are hiring an Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant for our program at Taconic Hills Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and helping them learn through play and positive experiences. The role involves facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.

What You Will Do

The responsibilities of this position include facilitating hands-on activities, observing state guidelines and program policies, supporting program operations, and providing a safe and healthy environment for children. The successful candidate will also be able to work well with teammates and communicate effectively with families.

Requirements

• 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
• Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
• Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat.
• Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.
