Early Learning Center Assistant Director

The Assistant Director will support the leading of the Early Learning Center (ELC) for Hope House Colorado, supervising and leading staff, and assisting the Director of Childhood Education (DCE) in building a culture that exemplifies Hope House Core Values. The role involves implementing programming that aligns with our educational philosophy and principles, running the summer program, managing parent communication, and ensuring compliance with Colorado licensing and Colorado Shines standards.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Director will provide supervision for operations assistants, summer camp staff, ELC teachers, and ELC assistant teachers. They will oversee daily operations of the ELC, lead classroom scheduling, coverage, and support to ensure child/staff ratio for all classrooms and compliance with childcare regulations. The role also involves maintaining accurate teacher and child records, assisting the DCE in ensuring compliance with Colorado licensing standards, and leading and implementing professional learning, lesson planning, and coaching for Creative Curriculum and Social-Emotional strategies.

We want to hear from you if you have experience in early childhood settings, serving infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers, and have two years of experience in a supervisory role, leading and managing staff. Familiarity with ELC licensing regulations, early childhood education, child development principles, and practices is also preferred.

Requirements

• Larger center certified
• Infant Nursery Program Supervisor credential or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Two years of experience in a supervisory role, leading and managing staff
• Experience in early childhood settings, serving infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers
• Familiarity with ELC licensing regulations
