Role Overview

The Early On provider provides services to students with IFSPs through the Primary Service Provider (PSP) model, assisting with evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team and providing services such as parent coaching and training through home visits across the county.

What You Will Do

Assess students suspected of having a disability, participate in multidisciplinary evaluations, facilitate IFSP team meetings, and provide in-home services to children and families.

Requirements

  • Meet the State Special Education requirements to be an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, Speech and Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, or other certified early childhood special education provider
  • Direct experience with the support of children ages birth through 3
  • Demonstrate oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrate skills to work effectively with staff, school administrators, and outside agencies
  • Demonstrate the ability to work successfully with students, parents, staff, community, and advocacy groups
  • Demonstrate the ability to function in a total organizational context
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable transportation
