ECCC Financial Counselor

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Financial Counselor with our ECCC Patient Support. The incumbent receives and reviews new patient, identified problems, contacts patients and/or third party payers to secure information details, payments or alternative settlement plans.

What You Will Do

Must have a positive experience and have demonstrated the ability to effectively work with the public. Prefer at least 6 months work experience in a medical office setting. The ability to secure information and make arrangements in difficult situations.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Knowledge of medical terminology including CPT and ICD-9 coding, processing and computer experience a must. Proven ability and willingness to work with the assist patients, coworkers, physicians and general public.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of up to 1 Year of Position-Related Experience
• 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology including CPT and ICD-9 coding
• Computer experience a must
• Proven ability and willingness to work with the assist patients, coworkers, physicians and general public
