Role OverviewThis role is within the VHVI Non-Inv Diag Echo department at Vanderbilt Health, a large academic health system. The Echocardiography Technologist 2 acquires echocardiographic data using transthoracic transducer acquisition under physician supervision, including morphologic imaging, assessment of myocardial function, and recording of hemodynamic parameters. The position may also involve stress echocardiographic testing and contrast imaging.
What You Will Do
Apply a broad range of skills to ensure exams are completed timely and meet quality and compliance standards. Gather echocardiographic diagnostic images for all patients, including clinically complex cases, and communicate findings to the healthcare team. Assist in the orientation and training of new staff.
