Role Overview

This Ecology Assistant is an AmeriCorps position that will support coastal marsh restoration and monitoring efforts in national parks. The role will involve a mix of field projects and office-based activities, including data collection, management, and analysis, as well as communication and outreach related to marsh resilience and restoration.

What You Will Do

The Ecology Assistant will conduct pre- and post-restoration salt marsh monitoring, collect and manage field data, and support communication and outreach related to marsh resilience and restoration. The role will also involve contributing to additional monitoring or research efforts as needed.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of coastal or wetland ecosystems, experience with data collection and management, and familiarity with GPS, GIS, and ArcGIS Online. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also required.
